How many times do you start to reach out to a colleague only to pause because you know how busy they are? Maybe that’s your buddy who offers you good advice on HR issues, or the friend who walks with you after work. What happens when we pause that connection because of an assumption about ourselves? Yes, that assumption about the busyness of someone else is actually our decision that we are less valuable than whatever they are doing.
