Marshall Goldsmith’s article “Four Bad Habits of Super-Smart Leaders” Series

This month I’m focusing my attention on Marshall Goldsmith’s 3rd bad habit out of his article, “Four Bad Habits of Super-Smart Leaders”. How many times have you thought or said “I already know that”? Yup, I get it, sometimes I know stuff that other people share too. And, when I add in this 4 word sentence it is alienating and a conversation stopper. Ouch. Not what is intended? Then shift to being curious about the information being shared, which might include hearing a new perspective from the person talking or asking them to expound on the application of this knowledge. Leaders empower others to grow, so invite folks to share in ways that include their viewpoint and thoughts. Everyone will benefit, including you.
